Caramel custard is one of the famous dessert from Europe. It is known for its spongy and bouncy texture. This is prepared by using sugar, custard powder and condensed milk.
I am going to share the simple basic custard recipe with you all on this special year, New year 2021 and wishing you all a very happy and prosperous new year 🙂
Ingredients:
- Sugar – 1/4 cup
- Milk – 1/4 cup
- Thick curd – 1/4 cup
- Condensed Milk – 1/2 cup
- Custard powder – 1.5 tsp(vanilla flavour)
Method:
- The main step of this recipe is preparing caramelised sugar. Heat a pan and add sugar to it
- Keep it in medium flame and sugar started melting and turns to brown colour. Don’t burn it
- Transfer it to a bowl and swirl around the bottom of the bowl
- set it aside for 5 minutes (caramelised sugar sets completely)
- In a blender, mix milk, curd, custard powder and condensed milk
- Add the mixture to the caramelised set bowl
- Close the bowl with lid and steam it for 25-30 minutes in a medium flame. switch off the flame
- Cool down to room temperature and refridgerate it for 2 hours
- Finally unmould the caramel custard and transfer it to a plate . cut and enjoy this delicious dessert
