Chilli Parotta

Parotta is a layered flatbread made using maida. I dint try to make parotta but i tried making chilli parotta from frozen parotta. Everyone in my family liked the taste . Here is the recipe which is very simple one

Ingredients:

  1. Parotta – 5(frozen )
  2. Onion – 1
  3. Tomatoes – 2
  4. Capsicum – 1 ( I used Green and yellow,half in each)
  5. Paneer cubes – 10
  6. Beans – 3 and carrot – 1 [optional]
  7. Green Chilli – 2
  8. Ginger Garlic Paste – 1 tsp
  9. Turmeric powder – 1/4 tsp
  10. Chilli Powder – 1 tsp
  11. Pepper Powder – 1 tsp
  12. Garam Masala – 1 tsp
  13. Coriander leaves – 3 tsp chopped
  14. Salt -to taste
  15. oil – 5tsp

To Temper:

  1. Cinnamon – 1 stick
  2. Cloves – 3
  3. Fennel seeds – 1 tsp
  4. Curry leaves – 1 spring

Pre-Preparation:

  1. Cook the parotta as per the instructions and cool it
  2. Cut into thin stripes or any shape you want
  3. Grind the Tomatoes and make a puree

Method:

  1. Heat oil in a kadai and add items to temper
  2. Add onions and saute well
  3. Add Ginger Garlic Paste and saute everything well
  4. Add little salt because parotta already contains salt
  5. Add Carrot, beans , capsicum and paneer and saute well for 2 minutes
  6. Add the tomato puree and add all powders mentioned above and add little water.cover with lid
  7. cook for 5 minutes in a medium flame
  8. open the lid and add chopped parotta pieces into it
  9. Sprinkle little water if the parotta is too dry
  10. Garnish it with coriander leaves and serve with onion raita or ketchup
