Boondi Raita

Raita recipes are very basic and common recipe in India. It can be made with different ingredients with curd as its main ingredient. Boondi raita is one such dip made with deep fried and soaked boondi pearls. We can serve this any rice or roti/naan kind of dishes.


  1. Boondi – 1/2 cup
  2. Water – 1 cup
  3. Curd or Yogurt – 1 cup
  4. Salt – to taste
  5. Chilli powder – 1/4 tsp
  6. Cumin Powder – 1/4 tsp
  7. Corainder leaves – 2 tsp ( chopped)


  1. Soak boondi in warm water for 5-10 minutes
  2. Strain the water and squeeze boondis gently
  3. In a bowl, add curd, salt, chilli and cumin powder and whisk everything well
  4. Add boondi and coriander leaves to it
  5. Serve with your favourite rice or paratha or roti


  1. Soak boondi in water is to remove the oil from it
  2. Add boondi to curd before you serve it
