Kara Pori is an easy snack made within 10 minutes. When i was a kid, my neighbour aunty made this to us, we liked the taste and from that my mom used to make this for me. Here is the recipe for kara pori.
Preparation time: 5 minutes
Cooking time : 10 minutes
Ingredients:
- Puffed rice – 4 cups
- Garlic – 6 pods
- Turmeric powder – 1/4 tsp
- Chilli powder – 1 tsp
- Roasted peanuts – 1/4 cup
- Fried gram – 1/4 cup
- Curry leaves – 1 spring
- oil – 2 tsp
- Salt – as needed
Method:
- Heat oil in a kadai and add fried gram and peanuts and fry for 30 seconds
- Add crushed garlic and fry for few seconds and add curry leaves
- Add salt, turmeric powder and chilli powder and mix it well, keep the flame very low for 30 seconds
- Add the puffed rice and mix it well, so that the powders evenly coated on the puffed rice. switch off the flame
- After cools down completely, store it in a airtight container and enjoy it as an evening snack
