Babycorn pepper fry recipe

Babycorn is one of the favoutrite vegetable for most of the people. Here i tried and shared my babycorn pepper fry recipe

Preparation time : 15 minutes

Cooking time : 15 minutes

Ingredients:

  1. Babycorn – 10
  2. Onion – 1 small size
  3. Capsicum – 1/2 (used yellow color here)
  4. Ginger – 1 inch (finely chopped)
  5. Garlic – 4 pods (finely chopped)
  6. Corn flour – 2 tsp
  7. Oil – 4 tsp
  8. Pepper powder – 2 tsp
  9. Salt – to taste
  10. Curry leaves – a spring

Pre-preparation:

  1. Pressure cook the babycorns with water for 2 whistles and cut them diagonally
  2. Strain the babycorn from water and add salt and 1 tsp pepper powder , corn flour and marinate for 10 minutes

Method:

  1. Heat 2 tsp of oil in a kadai and shallow fry the marinated babycorns for few minutes
  2. Transfer it to a plate
  3. In the same kadai, add remaining oil
  4. Add onions, ginger ,garlic and curry leaves. Saute then well
  5. Add finely chopped capsicum, salt and mix it well( i used yellow capsicum)
  6. Finally add fried babycorns to it and mix everything gently
  7. Add 1 tsp of pepper powder to it and mix it well for few seconds
  8. Switch off the flame and serve it as a sidish or starter

Note:

  1. you can skip the capsicum but it adds some flavour
  2. Adjust pepper powder according to your spiciness
