Pumpkin Carrot Soup

This is a must try simple soup using pressure cooker method. The soup looks more colorful and tasty at the same time. Try this nutritious simple soup at home . Here is the recipe.

Preparation time: 10 minutes

Cooking time : 15 minutes

Ingredients:

  1. Pumpkin – 1 cup (peeled and chopped in to cubes)
  2. Carrot – 1/2 cup (peeled and chopped into pieces)
  3. Onion – 1/4
  4. Garlic – 3 pods
  5. Butter – 1 tsp
  6. Cumin – 1/2 tsp
  7. Water – 1 cup
  8. Pepper powder – to taste
  9. Salt – to taste

Method:

  1. Heat butter in a pressure cooker
  2. Add cumin seeds and fry for few seconds
  3. Add roughly chopped onion and garlic and saute well
  4. Add carrot and pumpkin pieces and saute well
  5. Add 1 cup of water to it and pressure cook for 2 whistles
  6. Switch off the flame and wait till the pressure release by its own
  7. Mash the cooked mixture well or blend it in a blender
  8. Add pepper powder and salt to it
  9. Serve it as a starter or light dinner

Note:

you can add fresh cream if you want to add
