This is a must try simple soup using pressure cooker method. The soup looks more colorful and tasty at the same time. Try this nutritious simple soup at home . Here is the recipe.
Preparation time: 10 minutes
Cooking time : 15 minutes
Ingredients:
- Pumpkin – 1 cup (peeled and chopped in to cubes)
- Carrot – 1/2 cup (peeled and chopped into pieces)
- Onion – 1/4
- Garlic – 3 pods
- Butter – 1 tsp
- Cumin – 1/2 tsp
- Water – 1 cup
- Pepper powder – to taste
- Salt – to taste
Method:
- Heat butter in a pressure cooker
- Add cumin seeds and fry for few seconds
- Add roughly chopped onion and garlic and saute well
- Add carrot and pumpkin pieces and saute well
- Add 1 cup of water to it and pressure cook for 2 whistles
- Switch off the flame and wait till the pressure release by its own
- Mash the cooked mixture well or blend it in a blender
- Add pepper powder and salt to it
- Serve it as a starter or light dinner
Note:
you can add fresh cream if you want to add
