Tofu is a great ingredient with lot of nutrients. Today i am going to share tofu or beancurd sambal recipe. This recipe is a spicy one and goes well with rice, chapati or pulkas . Here is the recipe.
Preparation time : 10 mins
Cooking time : 15 mins
Ingredients:
- Hard Firm Tofu – 200 g
- Onion – 1
- Tomato – 1
- Red chillies – 10 (8 spicy chilli + 2 kashmiri chilli) : Soak it in hot water for 10 mins
- Garlic – 5 pods
- Oil – 4 tsp
- Salt – to taste
Method:
- Heat a kadai and add a tsp of oil
- Add cubes of tofu and fry for 3 minutes and keep it separately
- Blend the soaked chillies, onion , garlic and tomatoes into smooth paste
- Heat the pan and add 3 tsp of oil
- Add the paste and saute well
- Add salt and cook till the oil separates from the mixture
- Add tofu pieces to it and mix gently with the mixture and close with lid ( You can add capsicum pieces at this time if u have)
- Cook for 5 minutes in simmer flame
- Switch it off and garnish it with coriander leaves
- Serve it with your favourite dish
