Drumstick Leaves Soup/Murunga keerai soup/ Moringa Leaves Soup

This is healthy soup which everyone likes to drink. Even people who dont want to eat Drumstick leaves drink this flavorful soup. Consider including this miracle leaves in your diet at least once in a week. Here is the recipe.

Ingredients:

  1. Drumstick leaves – 1 cup tightly packed
  2. Small onions – 6
  3. Carrot – 1
  4. Garlic – 4
  5. Tomato – 1
  6. Cumin seeds – 1 tsp
  7. Turmeric powder – 1/4 tsp
  8. Salt to taste
  9. Pepper powder – 1/2 tsp
  10. Butter or oil – 1 tsp

Pre-Preparation:

Discard the thick stem and use the tender stems. wash the leaves

Method:

  1. Heat a pressure cooker and add butter and cumin seeds. once it crackles add small onions
  2. Add chopped tomatoes, garlic, carrot, turmeric powder, drumstick leaves, pepper powder, salt and 2 cups of water
  3. Close the lid and pressure cook for 1 whistle
  4. Open the lid and filter the soup and serve hot
