Potato Bajji/Aloo bajji/Urulai Kizhangu Bajji

Bajji, a quick indian snack made in 15 minutes. Potato Bajji is my kid’s Favorite. Here is the recipe for making potato Bajji.


  1. Potatoes – 2
  2. Besan flour/Kadalai maavu – 1 cup
  3. Chilli Powder – 2 tsp
  4. Ginger Garlic Paste – 1/2 tsp (optional)
  5. Baking soda – a pinch
  6. Salt – to taste
  7. oil – required for frying


  1. Heat oil in a pan
  2. In a bowl, mix besan flour, chilli powder , Ginger garlic paste, salt with water. Mix gently and make the batter thick
  3. Peel the potatoes and slice it thin pieces
  4. Dip the potatoes in batter and fry it in oil
  5. serve hot with coconut chutney or coriander chutney
