This potato recipe is very simple and spicy one. Last time when i visited my mama’s home, my maami prepared this and i liked it and asked the recipe from her. I tried the recipe and served it with lemon rice, it came out well. Do try this recipe
Ingredients:
- Potato – 3(big sized)
- Tomato – 1
- Coconut – 3 tsp
- Garlic – 3 pods
- fennel seeds – 1/2 tsp
- Chilli power – 1 tsp
- Turmeric powder – 1/4 tsp
- Salt – to taste
- Oil – 4 tsp
Pre-preparation:
Boil the potatoes in pressure cooker, cool it and peel the skin
Method:
- Cut the potato into medium sized cubes
- Grind coconut, tomato, garlic, fennel seeds in mixie into a smooth paste
- In a bowl, add potatoes , ground paste, turmeric powder, chilli powder and salt
- Marinate well and rest it for minimum 10 minutes
- Heat a kadai and add oil
- Add the marinated potatoes and close it using lid.
- cook it in a medium flame for 5 minutes
- open the lid and turn the potatoes with care (without breaking it)
- cook for again 3 minutes
- switch off the flame. Serve it with rice
